An exploration of the Moon energy

4-week Traditional Tantric Hatha Yoga Beginners Course


We‘ll explore the so called Moon energy – calming, stabilizing, grounding, cooling – and how you can create this energy yourself.


Specific postures, breathing techniques + meditations are the key:

because not all yoga poses will give us a calming effect. Not all kinds of breathing will be soothing to our nervous system. Not all meditations will connect us deeply with a Moonish energy. 


We’ll dive into 4 different meditations – so called Kriyas – from the Hatha Yoga Tradition: So you get a good feeling for the Moon energy in general, as well as for the subtle differences between calm, stability, clarity and grounding.


I also scheduled in 75 min per class so we have time to go through postures more in depth, something that in regular classes often has to be “sacrificed” because of time or group restraints. 


This course aims to help you build a foundation for further practice. Moon is also the basis for any further explorations into Sun and Fire practices of the Hatha Yoga Tradition.


What you’ll learn:

  • how body (postures), breath and mind (meditation) go together
  • a feeling for what a calming, stabilizing, grounding yoga practice should look & feel like – this is often super contrary to what is out there!
  • basic knowledge about how you can create a specific, desired energy 
  • how postures are practiced correctly
  • simple breathing techniques that you can apply in your day-to-day life
